Hi everyone,
After leaving Rio de janerio we flew back to Buenos Aires for a couple of days before heading off to Uruguay. We spent the day in Colonia, which is the most beautiful old Portugese/Spanish village on the other side of the river to Buenos Aires. It was a warm sunny day and Alicia, Rob and I strolled along the streets, ate a fantastic BBQ washed down with "vino" on the shores of the beach and just had a wonderful day.
The next day we spent having lunch in BuenosAires with a friend from Black Rock. What a small world...
The time has now come to head back home. Our flight from BsAs was to leave at 2.00am but was delayed 5 hours. When we arrived in New Zealand it was delayed another 2 hours. From the time we woke up that morning to the time we arrived in Sydney we had been on the go for 24 hours.
We spent the night with our dear friends in Sydney then Peter drove us home to Benalla. We are now upacking then looking forward to another sleep.
We do hope you enjoyed reading our travels as much as we enjoyed telling you of our great adventure.

After hosting an exchange student from Beunos Aires back in 1991, we fell in love with South America and now, in June 2011, we are about to embark on our sixth trip there.
